Amanda has been a Registered Social Worker in Prince Edward Island, Canada for 10+ years. She holds a Bachelor of Social Work degree from St. Thomas University and a Master of Social Work degree from Dalhousie University.
Amanda works with people age 14-19 years old, as well as young adults, and adults.
Amanda uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), as well as Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) in her work. She is a strength-based therapist and is culturally sensitive with a feminist orientation.
Amanda can work with you if you are experiencing any of the following issues: adoption, anxiety, coping skills, compassion fatigue, end of life, grief, divorce/separation, parenting, infertility, life transitions, pregnancy, prenatal and post-partum, relationship issues, stress, transgender, and women’s issues. Her main areas of expertise are: working with people experiencing anxiety, children/youth, and LGBTQIA2S++ populations.
